State Updates
Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI)
- Looking at their data and building relationships with both public and private schools.
California
- “Sprout speech” is still in early stages. Exploring, learning and figuring out what data will be most useful.
- Thinking about how to address and reduce bullying can feel like a daunting task.
Vermont
- Since rates of bullying are higher than national average, they are looking for ways to collaborate across sectors and determine which strategies will have an impact.
Indiana
- Beginning states of identifying goals and Aim Statement.
- We want to strengthen our relationship with schools & bringing in youth voice around bullying – the Sprout of right now and guiding principle.
Kentucky
- Continuing to reach out to county health departments, will be expanding BP curriculum to additional school districts.
- Working on distributing resources and informational materials.
Massachusetts – not on this call
CSLC Operationalizing Form
- Useful tool for mapping out your aims, change ideas, activities/strategies, and measures.
- Add your aim statement and align it with specific change ideas and strategies.
- Select your change idea on Google Form, how you’ll make this happen, select the measure, etc.
- Visit CSN website, go to member page, click on Bullying Prevention and scroll down to Resource
- Practice worksheet: BP Operationalizing Form (this is the Excel version)
What’s Next?
- Identify 1-3 change ideas and fill out operationalizing form by end of summer
- Reach out to Lauren if you have questions or concerns
Ongoing:
- Submit monthly report for June (if you have anything to include) and for July at the end of this month.
- If appropriate for where you are in your process, use the PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) tool to improve and fine-tune your strategies.
- Update team enrollment as needed
- Reach out for individualized TA
- Complete evaluation after each Topic Call
